Well the gun ban isn’t really about crime prevention.

At least it's nice to see them publicizing this instead of making up numbers and saying it's working.

Typical politician, treat the symptom not the illness.

But gun owners aren't a symptom. This gun ban is more like giving me antibiotics for someone else's syphilis.

So long as our law enforcement and legal systems remain inefective, I cant understand why they bother making laws at all.

Really the gun ban is banning gun owners? I though the gun ban was banning guns. In this case the tool or specific guns are the symptoms and the illness being those who are criminally inclined. The government believes they will cure the illness by removing the symptom which in this case the symptoms being removed aren’t necessarily related to the illness.

Apparently this approach works. No mention of gun ban but 18 firearms removed from the hands of criminals:

Everything the liberals do is a failure because they act on emotion rather than fact. They lack the guts to tackle criminals because they are scared of them.

I think its time the liberals feared citizens

The sad thing is that section 91 of the Criminal Code is pretty f'n clear
gotta gun, don't gotta license = 5 years.
This on top of anything else that the miscreants are up to
Section 86
Use of a gun in commission of a crime = 14 years to be served consecutively.
So one of the (assumedly unlicensed) wankers in the street discharges a firearm in a public space that should be Bye Bye for 19 years

The GD laws already exist all they have to do is enforce them and... problem solved or at least deferred

Of course they probably come from socially disadvantaged groups and really just need to be hugged a little more.

The biggest problem are the gun charges usually get plead away and or reduced so they have no effect.
I said it from the beginning. Start enforcing the current laws, if they are not working then look at changing them. I have yet to see the current firearm laws at play except agaisnt law abidng citizens who actually made a innocent mistake.

And if this news is a surprise to anyone on this forum?

More preaching to the choir, take these types of articles to work, to the gym, to where ever the non believers hang out, educate them as to the folly and mis deeds being done with us.

That’s how this crap ends.
