Default Property tax question, private or not?

Are property taxes that are paid to a municipality able to be seen by by any citizen of that town?or is this information only for councilors etc.Thank you.

In cities anyone can see what you pay and the assessed value of you properties I would think its the same in small communities.
If you go to the Lloydminster city website enter the address it will give this information

As far as I know, the property assessments are all public knowledge.

In most provinces and municipalities, property taxes (and what you pay) is 'public-domain' information ... as it should be.

It is public info but I think you need the legal land description to find that info.
The civic address is not enough.

Default Calgary taxes

There is a map on the City of Calgary website that shows the assessed value for every residential property; if you know the current Mill Rate, you can calculate the property taxes.
Haven't looked to see if other municipalities offer the same information online.

In some jurisdictions (e.g. BC) the on-line software available, will convert a civic address to an LLD for you.
