Exclamation Bohemian Rhapsody movie- stomp stomp clap!

Wife and I went tonight, was pleasantly surprised about how good it actually was.
He did an awesome job portraying Mercury, we have watched some interviews and videos.
The man had if nothing else an amazing voice and lived for the stage.
If he portrayed the torment correctly you sure feel for Freddie.
I would give this movie a 92/100

We were flipping between that and A Star is Born last night and opted to see A Star is Born, which turned out to be fantastic. I'd not seen any of the previous 3 versions but recall the soundtrack from the Streisand version in my Mom's vinyl collection as a kid. I highly recommend it, I figure some Oscars are already reserved for it. Its not often I go see a movie and then spend the next day re-watching bits and interviews about it online, but that's been today for both my wife & I. Make sure your wife or girlfriend has plenty of tissues. My lone tear must have been from dust in the HVAC system, what an odd time to change the air filters...

I've been waiting for this movie for a few years to come out Bohemian Rhapsody ,just a side note Elvis was offered the part in the Barbra Streisand version of a star is born and turned it down.

Sorry for the 2nd post hijack, I just thought it could be a recent movie thread instead of starting another one

No trouble at all pal!

I had no interest in the Gaga Cooper flick, my daughter went and said it was great but just not my thing.

Rhapsody was a tear jerker for sure, you could hear the entire theatre trying to be tough.

Movie? Ya ok! Maybe I should watch and I will for sure. But I can listen to Mercury's voice for hours, amazing. His octave range is there with the best that have ever been. Did not live long enough

Wifey said that a lot in the movie was not true to life, just did not happen but for the most part was true to the band. They have to add some to make things more exciting of course. Or maybe not to upset royalties, etc.

We went to see it yesterday and loved it. Rami Malek's performance sure deserve an Oscar.

Went and saw it on Saturday. Before I went, I went on YouTube to see the 1985 Live Aid concert. Am curious why they didn't do "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and the Queen anthem, "We Will Rock You" in the movie during the remake of the Live Aid concert.

Music saved the movie but then again it was about FM the man and Queen the band.

FM impersonator Martel from Canada provided vocals for the movie.

Rocket Man, the Elton John story coming out next year...….plus he's touring Canada, think I'll wait for the movie....

'some' vocals. Most of it was from original tracks of Mercury himself. I imagine the little impromptu scenes were Marc Martel.

Watched in on Saturday and it was outstanding! I actually never knew that Freddy was an Indian! I never knew about the extra teeth in his mouth either. But I have an excuse - I was growing up behind the iron curtain and we were lucky just to get the music.
Great show!

If I'm not mistaken Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar which is now

Correct. But if I’m remember correctly, his family escaped from Pakistan or India to Zanzibar to avoid prosecution. Never the less, great show!
