What kind of fish do you have there in Poland?

Hello Jarek:

Greetings:

Where do live in Poland?

Zander is the same as our walleye.

I am from Radzionków in Silesia. There is a map widget on my blog
Not quite the same, but they are close related. Zander is bigger. It grows over 30lb. Sometime even 40lb.

Welcome Jarek. A bunch of us are heading to Poland in August to see where the brides roots came from. Might have to look you up when we get there.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
There are few guys here that come from Poland. World is small. Fishing is simpler as far as regulations, belongings to clubs etc. You buy fishing licence and regulations are good for the whole province and different for every province. There are only few species but generally fish is bigger. 4 to 5 months of the year we fish from under 1 to 1.5 m of ice (hard water). Technics are the same and equipment similar. As area of Alberta is twice as that of Poland there are days that we go fishing 300km for a day or weekend.

My mother came from there. Only then, it was called Schlesien and was part of the German Reich.

My wife was born in Przemysl. I spent 3 weeks a few years ago touring all of Poland. Very nice country and a lot of WWII history.

I never got to go fishing though

Welcome
