Should it not be mounted on the window frame with the window rolled down? Don't see any place to put my chips and pop though,

Thumbs up

Looks like a winner to me. Depending on the price I will probably buy one.
Lots of dings in my rifles from the driver and passenger rifles rubbing together on the passenger side. If I was worried about the direction that my unloaded guns were pointing I would have taken the shotty off the dash board.

Isn't hunting supposed to be just that, not driving around looking or something to shoot at from your nice truck. Just my opinion. (p.s. Where's the coffee grinder kept)

This rig wouldn't work for me...I usually stand on the console and shoot out the sunroof.

Other than really sucking for the guy in the back seat, AKA "the beer caddy", and honestly if anyone really cared about him he wouldn't be in the back seat... I cant see how getting a rifle out of that thing would be more dangerous than getting it out of the truck any other way.

Rule one, always treat the rifle like its loaded, great advice, follow it to a tee... but I don't point a loaded rifle at any part of my vehicle, a technical impossibility when putting the unloaded rifle into the vehicle, encased or otherwise. At some point common sense has to pitch in and give rule #1 a bit of help.

That's what the camo coveralls made out of the same material as the seat covers are for.

I just installed the big sky double roof rack in my truck two days ago. I like the idea for transport too. The roof is all unused space if you ask me.

Shortens up the elbow room a little but it was nice to hunt a whole day without worrying about the 2 rifles banging together or sliding around. It just plain works. Was a great investment. Had to put some duct tape around the cradles to cushion them a little. I don't bail out when I see something anyway. I get out calm and quiet. If something runs off I haven't spooked it very much so I can usually catch up to it.

I picked up one early in the year from the guys who make them in Cranbrook. The gun barrel can also sit forward. They are pretty good for transporting rifles except I do not like the hard plastic rubbing on the same spot of the stock. I put a small towel under them to act as a cushion but adding foam to edges of the plastic would be best.

Needs to be mounted higher so that it points out of the passenger window and be able to pan and lock into an arc of fire that conforms to the size of window. No passengers permitted in the front and electric widows are definitely an asset.

I just love road hunters, yesterday morning turned truck side ways in the dark and shone lights on my horses in the pasture thinking they were moose.
