Hey forum. Kinda new to this stuff.
Im wondering if you could give me some direction as to some good duck/goose spots in the 1 -2 (preferably the closer the better) hour range of Calgary.
Hoping to bag something for my family for thanksgiving dinner.

There are huge flocks around Stettler right now and of course the odd cripple mixed in. While walking the dogs they brought one back.

Cripples are going to result regardless of lead or steel shot. Steel will kill birds as dead as lead at 35-40 yards , just use the right shot size and choke.Lead is more effective overall, it's denser and has a greater g/cm3 than steel, but knowing how to offset the differences can help hunters overcome that.
