Default Places for sighting in my gun

I am wondering if anyone can let me know where to sight my 308 in. All gun ranges around Edmonton and areas require a membership. I've also heard they frown upon sighting them in on crown land. I know my sights are off and want to get it dialed in before going back out. I don't want to risk injuring a deer and have it get away because of my gun being out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spruce Grove range used to sell day memberships. Look em up. If not I would suggest somewhere West of the city. I would stay very far away from Bruderheim and that area as the RCMP are out there in full force looking for people shooting out there due to complaints lodged from oilfield maintenance workers in the area.

Memberships are quite inexpensive. Wildwood in Edson, for example, is $70 for the year. I pay just over double that at SPFGA & that gives full access to the entire family to all the facility's amenities including the range. Very affordable.

Thanks for the help. I had already looked into spruce grove range and I never found anything for a day pass. Just the membership pricing which is 400 for a new member or 300 for a renewal. Most ranges I've found are around the 70 to 130 for the year so no clue why they are so expensive.

Because people pay it. The coinvienence of location is nice....I wouldn't pay that though.

I'd rather go to Athabasca or Edson where it's cheaper. Yeah I spend more on fuel but I can also hunt after I'm done at the range.
