Default Prince Rupurt Fishing Expirence

We went to Prince Rupert with Northerbounty (guide Travis) from June 25-28 on a 4 day charter.

This was my second trip to rupurt with Travis in past two years. Originally we were pretty disappointed that we couldn’t keep chinooks and booked a litttle early to get into the Coho. We did go with the intention to have a good boys trip and get some good Halibut, and get into some lingcod... what I can say is this year was my best trip yet, yes we couldn’t get into the salmon however we were able to have the time to expirence some aweosme Jigging and bottom fishing as we had the time to target some exciting Fish.. I don’t know how many different species we caught. I know lots of guys talking about Rupurt Slow for fishing however there is lots of different things to target that are so much fun. I would have loved some salmon however I enjoyed jigging bottom fish over trolling for long periods.

Everything said and done we came home with limit in Crab, halibut, lingcod and rock fish.. also did some shrimping and had enough time to catch and release a couple Chinook..

Aside from the fishing we had pod of whales under the boat also saw humpbacks and sea lions up close..

See some pics below! Thanks again Travis for the awesome Trip and memories

Epic! That is a lot of variety and some nice fish there. That skate is one ugly fish. Congrats on the great trip and thanks for sharing the info.

Default Prince Rupert fishing experiance

I’ve been to the coast fishing quite a few times, and quite honestly, I’d much rather fish for bottom fish than salmon. Look like you guys had a great time. I’m jealous. Good on you guys!

It looks like you had a fantastic trip.
I always appreciate guys who value the experience more than the predicted results.

Nice!!! Looks like you guys had a great trip. It's funny a guy always spends so much time salmon fishing when just about everything you catch bottom fishing Is some of the best eating fish you will find.
Thanks for the pics.
Did you guys stay on the boat or travel back and fourth?
4 more sleeps and I'm there can't wait!!!
