first time out I had to eat skunk, some beauty sunset pics though

went out last night and managed to hook the shortest 7 pounder I think Ive ever caught. On the flyrod plus a couple more smaller eyes and a couple pike that were dwarfed weight wise by this fattie and a little Lotta. I had a pretty good idea what she was fattening up on and I was correct. at least the Prussian carp are feeding the predators. only good thing about them

She was a bleeder so I brought her home to warm her up

Great to see them fattening up on those carp. Are you using a streamer of sorts with your fly rod? It has to be too much fun to hook into a nice fatty on the fly rod. Envious am I.

Kingfisher tied some awesome streamers for me, I also just hacked a few together with stuff I had laying around, they sure are fun on a whippy 8 weight , no subtle takes like bait fishing its hammertime when they see it!
