Default tikka T3 lite

I just purchased a tikka T3 light in a .270 I was reading in the operations manual that comes with the rifle that "All models are available with a single-set trigger as option". Where you can push the trigger ahead and it sets the trigger weight to .5 lbs. Does anyone have this trigger and if so do you like it? And can you puchase one to replace the one in the rifle?

IMO Tikka has one of the best factory triggers on the market. I have 4 of them and have not adjusted any of them..
Shoot it and see if you like it and if not then look at changing things.
great choice on a rifle..

Default Tikka

Congrats on the new edition to your family. Shoot the gun first and see what you think. If you do not like the trigger pull then pull the trigger guard off and adjust to your liking, I agree Tikka has one of the best factory triggers ever. I believe you are talking about a 2 stage trigger.

I have the exact same gun. Hit the range and shoot it. I like my trigger. I think you will too.

Default tikka

I don't have any problem with the trigger, just in the manual it talks about the trigger being pushed forward to set it to .5lbs. Just wondering if anyone has this option on their tikka. thanks for the responses

I have handled a 300 win. mag Sako. with the set trigger. It is very nice, just push the trigger ahead, and the trigger pull is lightened considerably. I would use this feature at the range but NOT out hunting, and in all honesty, the triggers break so nicely, I would probably never use it.

From what I've heard the models sent to North American do not actually come with the set trigger option. You'll have to go to Europe to try it out. It's poor wording in the manual.

It's exactly the same for the Sako A7, new world folks don't get the option. Best of luck, nice choice of rifle.
