My guess is that some dealers print up phony invoices just to show customers, you will never know the true dealer cost especially with the back end profits paid by the manufacturer at year end.
My mom worked as a sales receptionist at 3 different dealers over a 20 year period. Writing up phoney invoice to show customers was part of her job at all 3 of them. They were Dodge, GM and Ford.
