Default vortex spotter razor 50mm or viper in 65mm?

Hey all I need some help as this will be my first spotter.
Looking to spend about $1000 it will be used for hunting and seeing where I hit targets out to 300yrds

Looking at the razor in 50mm or the viper in 65mm

Razor s nice because it's top of the line and smaller to be hauling around on my back.
Viper is nice because it should be better in low light with the larger objective.

Anyone have input or first hand experience with either??

I was thinking even though the razor is smaller it is better glass so the difference in low light may not be a big difference??

For 300 yards either will work great. They will have no problem at those distances

Moving out to 500 for target shooting could you say the same?
I'd assume if it's good for targets at 500 spotting big game at 1000 shouldn't be an issue? .308 hole compared to a 150lb + animal.
