Those stoves are fun to make, I've made of number of them in different configurations but I find the ones I make out of tuna cans to be more durable and just as easy to make

That little burner is so SWEET and the cost is even better.Buy the small plastic container that smothers the flame and doubles as a holder and you are good to go.The only downside is there is no way to control the heat.

Ok, had to try it, took 2 minutes to cut and assemble and burned hot with some methyl hydrate. Pretty good cool factor.

One thing to watch out for when you make these stoves is that the aluminum can be very sharp and it can cut you really bad of your not careful so watch for sharp edges

Thanks, that's a heck of an idea. I like the "free" factor.

I'm surprised I didn't see any quite like this style on your work bench last time I was there

Default Neat!

I will be trying this when I get home. Sort of a hippy showing his chops, but I will let him have this one for sure!

I am thinking it is for the intake of oxygen as it is on the upper chamber and the creases/ripples are on the lower chamber where the flames come out of.Got to have an oxygen supply for any fire.

I have seen and made lots of homemade stoves , but that s the simplest and seems to be the most effective I have ever seen. I am definitely going to try this out. Now all I have to do is search and find a beer can! Not to worry , I found one.

That's what it seems to be, still burns without the hole but it burns better with it. Better spread of the flame. Works surprisingly well.
