I received a very beautiful email from the Gerwing Family today, asking me to pass on the gratitude of the entire family.

They were absolutely amazed, that so many people would take the time to assist the family in their most desperate time of need.

You have all made a great impression on this family.

So, on behalf of the Gerwing's and their families.

You all have also made a great impression on me, and while in time I may not recognize your name, might not even recognize your faces, you will always be in my heart. You are all astounding, giving, loving people, and I would be proud to be able to call you my friend.

I came across the original "Hunter missing" thread too late to do anything about it, but I was definitely moved by how quickly people dropped everything and drove, sometimes for hours, to get to the Paradise Valley area to help look.

I know that a lot of sniping goes on from time to time that annoys everyone but I am always amazed and impressed at how fast we pull together to support each other when stuff goes sideways.

Kudos to everyone who took time to help out, I know we were all saddened by the outcome but I just wanted to say something to the great folks around here.

If anyone didn't know, the Gerwing Children got a nice gift from the Olympic Women's hockey Team at the Midget game the other night. They were handed Jerseys from the Olympic team.

Very classy, and the kids just loved them!

I was not there to see it, but wish I had been. Did anyone see this happen?
