Default First time in Writing-On-Stone area

Hello all,

Born and raised in the PC area, but have never visited the Writing-On-Stone PP. Going there soon and looking into fishing the Milk River (I'm assuming it's the MR that runs past it?)

Anyway, has anyone been there recently? How's the activity? What would I be looking at targeting (species)? Being familiar with waters West of there by quite a bit, not sure how to set up my casting equipment for whatever may be swimming?

Thanks in advance,

J.

Sauger, and northerns in the Milk. Catch with 5 diamonds spoon in deep pools at turns in river. fishing very slow in summer, best in fall after water clears up. Also can fish Goldsprings Park, Hennigers Res and Foremost fish and game ponds for rainbows. that's it for the WOS area.
