Tried ice fishing Winchell couple times in January, not even a single nibble. I would assume that the lake winter killed. Long and odd winter for sure!
Was at Winchell yesterday. Dragged my kayak out to paddle around the aerator hole. Thats the only open area, ice still everywhere else. Didnt see any winterkill at all and saw lots of fish on the fishfinder. No bites though. Aerators were working in Feb and March when i was out there.
