I finally received mine after months and months of waiting.

The quality was actually very good and machining, margins, fit, finish and barrel was far better than one would expect for a < $2000 gun.

There are only a few things I don't like ..... it's heavy and the stock is painfully uncomfortable. The stock can be changed out which would solve that issue - the inherent weight of this weapon makes it cumbersome to play with out at the farm chasing dogs around.

While I waited (7 months AFTER the original expected delivery date) I have, since, purchased a few other toys and currently playing with those - so I sold my BCL.

My Stag isn’t together, I bought the receiver set and I am waiting on my custom barrel to come in.

But the fit and finish on the Stag is 10x better than the BCL.

The Stag is properly anodized, no machine marks, 7075 aluminum and accept all milspec/dpms parts.

Well I got my Stag 10 built and out to the range Friday.

Only shot some cheap Remington core lokt 140gr 6.5 creedmoor and some match 140gr Barnes OTM.

Had absolutely 0 FTF or FTE, unlike my BCL 102

Groups were decent, around MOA off a bipod. I know the rifle will do better with ammo it likes or handloads.

My build list is

Upper/Lower Receiver Stag Arms 10
Stock Magpul CTR
Buffer Tube VSeven Weapons Carbine Length
Buffer Spring JP Enterprises SCSS
Castle Nut + Endplate VSeven Weapons Lightweight Combo
Scope Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15x42
Optic Mount. Aero Precision Cantilever
Bolt Carrier Group VSeven Weapons Titanium
Trigger Triggertech Curved, Adjustable
Barrel McGowen 19", 416 Stainless, MHBAR, Fluted, 6.5 Creedmoor
Handguard VSeven Weapons Hyperlight Magnesium 15"
Barrel Nut VSeven Weapons Titanium
Muzzle Device VSeven Weapons Titanium
Gas Block SLR Rifleworks 0.75" Clamp-on, Adjustable
Gas Tube BAD Rifle Length
Charging Handle Radian Weapons AR10 Raptor
Bolt Catch Phase 5
Sling Ferro Concepts Slingster, Coyote Brown

Given I went with a heavier profile barrel for more accuracy, the naked rifle is 8.057lbs and with the optic and mount 9.36lbs.

The barrel weighs 3.265lbs. I could shave a full pound off by going with a carbon fibre barrel.

Glad I didn’t take the plunge on the 102, that stag looks beautiful!

Default BCL102 first trip out

I finally got out to the range with my new BCL102.

My rifle is all stock with a vortex viper HST.

After bore-sighting it in, and shooting some junk Norinco ammo (2 failure to feeds with the black metal mag that came with it)

I then moved over to the 100 yard range.

Shooting Hornady American Whitetail 308, 150gr loads I was shooting Sub MOA groups. It also liked the 165gr load again with sub MOA results. However, once I went to the 180gr Winchester, my groups opened up a bit to around 1.5 MOA. I have to note that there were no failure to feeds with any of the 308 ammo.

My BCL is bang on with the right load so I wont be selling it any time soon!
