Default Camp Chef SmokePro PG24XT - Pellet Grill

Hello,

Anyone have any experience with this grill?
My brother in law has a Traegar and loves it.
This one is about $600 and a similar Traegar is over $1000.
Both grills are similar size and have 3 year warranties.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

The reviews on it look real good.
I'm a charcoal guy and have 3 smokers, if I were to go to a pellet smoker, I would definitely look at this unit

600$??

That American? lol I think it is. they usually sell for more than 600$ unless you found a great deal.

I own a SmokePro DLX 24 and it's amazing. I highly recommend the camp chef pellet smoker brand to anyone

Been looking at the Camp Chef brand. Really interested in the Woodwind model with the additional sear box. Have a Weber Smokey Mountain and love it but the convenience of pellets is alluring.

Woodwind isn't available in CAnada, neither is the Sear box you can put on the other models. Burns too hot. I contacted Camp Chef and they put me in touch with someone in Canada to talk to. They have SG24 box which can slide the plate over so it gets direct heat for searing.

I'm tossing around idea of either a CAmp Chef or Green Mountain, haven't decided yet.

Traeger quality is pretty bad. I have one, every part has been replaced and still blows fuses.

I haven't looked deep into them since I already have a pellet smoker of my own but it couldn't hurt looking at the cabelas brand pellet smokers. I was in there over the weekend and they looked pretty good

Emailed Camp chef on the new woodwind WiFi, no such luck getting it in Canada. Woodwind, searbox, wifi controller not CSA approved and no intention in doing so. Hard fail by Camp chef
