Montana
If entering via Cardston route the ntake "Road to the Sun" for a very scenic Rocky Mtn experience. The other route via Fernie is tame but very good as well.
Whitefish, Kalispell etc. are nice places to visit if you take some time to relax and enjoy.
Relative to Alberta at this point in Western Canadian political and energy industry history, Montana is booming.....
Since you are likely into shooting and hunting check out the sports stores..... TikkaShooters is located in Bozeman Montana significantly further south and east.....

Army and Navy in Whitefish. Friendly guy and they have an amazing amount of sitka, underarmour, mystery ranch, eberlestock, lowa, crispi, kennetrek... and every outdoor sock known to man. I buy all my Sitka gear there, as they have real sales on it.

Ya there's lots to see and do in the Kaiispell area.. definitely rethink your baby walker idea as that is a big no no and if you have kids in the vehicle expect to have them ask you about a walker at the border. Famous Daves is a must but so is the Ho Hut across the street from them. They also have a couple Murdochs (big farm/ranch store) that is a must for me...
have fun..

I dunno. The bourbon and fly shops were cheaper in Canada with the exchange rate, cigars and pipe tobacco cost double any mail-order place. I didn't really look at anything else.
Great place to visit though.

I find the onion rings in almost every bar, in the Kallispell- Whitefish area, to be the best.

X2 on Murdochs! Excellent farm store. Kind of like Peavey Mart but way better!

Try out one of the Texas Roadhouse restaurants. They serve huge portions and their steaks are awesome.

Deep fried chicken gizzards are pretty common too. Point of Rocks on HWY 93 is a nice place to try them.

Heard about Mooses bar for a lot of years but other than checking it out I don't see any reason to get a pass port to head to that crap hole of a country.
