These fish are my personal best fish. I caught them off of Port Canveral Florida last August. FYI these fish are Amberjack. Thought to be one of the hardest fighting fish pound for pound in the ocean.

20100915_34.JPG

Boy, these fish were pulling 60+lb line of the reel while I was pinned to the side of the boat.!

Pulling those things up was like to pulling up a 30+ lb rock with rockets propelling it towards the bottom!

After pulling those things up from 200+ft In +33 and 80% humidity, I had to sit down in the shaded cabin and take a good rest.

The combination of me drinking two energy drinks, the heat and humidity and hauling in those fish made me feel pretty spinney and nauseous after a while.

Though all in all it won't be trip that I will forgett soon.

The charter crew said the fish weighed from 25 to 30lbs and those were just "little ones" compared to the 70lbers they catch in the spring!

One day later in life I will be able to afford a boat that I can run that river and hammer the eyes like the ones dodger has posted. Such a good river system if you have the gear to explore it.

it's a big river. it looks like the NSR? but i know wayne lives out east on the prairie. can't be the mighty bow, as it's not know for its walleye. i gotta tell you, i'm stumped. bet it's a heck of a sturgeon fishery too!

You are right Dace. Those dinosaurs do roam that water pretty good. I will join you on a hunt for some if you want this summer.
