Haha, it's bad how we can laugh at this, concidering how scary the information that is being said. I'm one of those guys who believes that everything that is happening has been planned out by the powers that be to accomplish a more sinister plan........but, I may be wrong.

I really hate conspiracy theories myself, but I am really starting to think that you're right. Look at who Obama was pals with..Bill Ayres, Rev Wright, that commie (can't think of his name) that Obama had hired and was forced to fire, that woman on his staff that spoke of how she was a follower of Mao and so.

Look at the policies he is following. At some point you have to think to yourself, nobody could possibly be that stupid to think that spending all that money is anything but a recipe for disaster. Or that all those regulations and class warfare are anything but toxic to job creation. I realize he's a lefty socialist, but even left wing radicals can't be so stupid as to think that these policies will do anything but absolutely and totally destroy the US. If the Republicans can take over the presidency and senate and hold congress they may be able to turn things around...if Obama and the left wing Senate remain, I think the US is done.

I am really glad most Canadians went right rather than left in the last several elections. It may not completely insulate us from the American winter coming, but it will help. (and frankly, it's not like Harper is acting like a hardcore economic conservative either...it's just that he's not being a left wing weirdo either)

If they are only pretending to run a government than we should be just fine, but if they are running a government than I could not tell anymore. It is as if it is all a guessing match as to what is the reality until the time at which something must be done to avoid a crisis.

I just posted this on the "What Do You Do For A Living" Thread and thought it appropriate for here;
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Business Development Alternative Energy,,, and the economy stateside where our project was put on hold this past Monday, has put the job creation part of the project on the back burner. On the job creation side -and if things subside even a tad- will create 100+ jobs here and 100+ jobs stateside,, and those jobs will be apprentiship through all-ticketed welders, fabricators, mechanical engineers, helicopter pilots, project managers, logistics, etc. We are shooting for Red Deer for the fabricating shop, for the middleground effect of gathering talent from Edmonton/North and Calgary/South, and it's a great little city,, I'm from Cowtown. I'm putting this out here on the forums as I may drop a line to some of you on here. At the moment I can't detail the project but once we get up and out of this odd rut, I'll be posting a hiring on AO first.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you know how hard it is to be optimistic and keep forging forward with this underlying doom & gloom scenario around us. I am not insulated from issues stateside and Obama (who is not as left as some might beleive), has been doing 11th hour corrections that are really massive wrenches being thrown into business developments that have been years in the planning. Taxing the rich is not the issue but nationalising how and who U.S companies buy goods from has literally flushed 3 years planning and wrangling down the drain. I don't like Romney but he does know the pulse of project development from an idea and into something tangible. Bureaucrats should not run for office, nor some politicians. Thankfully everyone involved in our project are seasoned on riding out these crazy roller coaster rides,,, it's been the longest week in memory, brutal actually.

This is a long one, but it has some very interesting points.
Everyone should watch a judge for themselves.

To quote ABC news:

"Although U.S. businesses, even banks, are not severely exposed to Greece's economy, investors worry that if Greece defaults on its debt and leaves investors such as Greek bond holders out in the cold, financial trouble would spread to other troubled European economies, such as Spain's, Portugal's and Ireland's. If the European economy were to implode in a wave of defaults and associated bank failures, it could pull the U.S. economy down as well, since there is a lot of trade between the U.S. and Europe."
