Default Trout fishing in steams and lakes from shore

Looking for some steams and rivers to fish for trout. Not from this province just work out here with time off... Staying in south Edmonton but am willing to drive a ways to find trout steams and rivers or lakes that have shoreline access to fly fish .

As far as nearby lakes, Cardiff pond is nearby and has many places to cast from shore with lots of backcast room.

Buy the Alberta Fishing Guide. 10 bucks and lists most places in AB worth fishing, and gives detailed directions.

Best of luck.

Beaumont, hermitage park, Cardiff,East Pit, Morinville reservoir, By the Lake Park in Wetaskiwin,Chickakoo,Muir...
As for streams there is a good number of smaller streams in the Rocky Mountain House and Caroline areas that should be wadeable in shorts.
West of Caroline there are a few stocked lakes and smaller streams and rivers that could keep you busy for a day.
As mentioned previously buy the Barry Mitchell fishing guide it lists a good number of spots.
Good luck

Raven is a good fishery, but is a tough one to fish.... probably why its so good i guess its even better in the portion where its called "stauffer" Creek IMHO. But like i said very overgrown for the most part. try er out though, a chartreuse woolybugger works very well there. good luck!
