nope, 6' 3wt GRXi. LOVE IT, it's very slow action, I fish a 2wt airflo tactical taper with it and it's just a dream to cast little dries and wets. Can't wait to catch some fish on it.

Blows my 2wt 6' TFO series I away.

Nope. Was hoping to get home in time, but clouds were dark and winds were strong. Will be waiting for Thurs or Fri at least, I imagine.

I was fishing elbow today. Found some great spots but no fish. Spent 7 hours wondering around kananaskis. River is rising and fish must be looking for cover. Water is stained but fishable, creeks are too muddy. No bug life present, not even a mosquito.

Damn, never ended up going out that way. I decided to re-try my luck on the bow as I'd had a good day in the murky water on saturday. No luck though! We will catch up this summer for sure tho!

I used everything but nymphs. That's why I love elbow, never easy but there are days that are just spectacular and that keeps me going back for more. Thing with elbow, too many fishy spots, most of them void of fish, much more technical then let's say sheep or Highwood. Of course that is just my opinion.

I've never fished the elbow despite living 15 minutes away.

I don't wanna ask your spot, but were you above or below bragg creek?

Sadly i dont think there wjll be much to get excited about down here in the south for a while. Anything fed by the Oldman river an anything between Pincher Creek and Cardston is gonna be a write off. The Radio says that the Oldman River is expected to rise to as much as 6m in the next couple days. I could be catching fish off the front step soon...lol

Upstream of Bragg Creek. Never fished downstream section, seems busy come weekend.
Above elbow falls is very, very slow I mostly find fish around tributaries but it's a long walk, I haven't bothered going up there after the flood.

I couldn't get out opening day but I did get out for a bit today, everything is flowing pretty high and dirty but definitely still fishable!

Hey guys,

I went out in the morning before the water went up and got dirty. Caught one on a dry on the 3rd cast and broke my 3wt Hardy that was just replaced under warranty Oh well, new section is already on its way.

I fished with streamers and nymphs after that, managed to see a couple of bulls follow and hooked a decent cut but didn't land it.

It rained, hailed and I watched the water go up and up...

Anyway, heres a pic of the one that broke the rod...

Good to see these pics, guys. I might try to head up high, this weekend...if things aren't still frozen.
