Default salt and fresh water fishing in Thailand and Australia info wanted

hi everyone,

I am planning on traveling to thailand and then Australia. i am gonna be in that general area for 2-4 months and i would love to do some fishing while I'm there! i would like to do both charter fishing and stream fishing (might bring a fly rod). i would like to target some of larger sport fish (marlin like etc) but i am on a very very tight budget, so i gotta make the bucks count. absolutely any advice would be awesome. I haven't set anything in stone so any experience is appreciated!!

Thanks,

DBH

Thailand also has some unique lake fishing, they stock the lakes with all sorts of fish, arapaima, alligator gar, and many different types of catfish and carp. A renowned one is IT lake monster, but I believe there are lots and most are reasonably priced.
