Default Beaver floats

Was reading a thread in trapper man about floats was curios if any you out there use them an for what kind of areas you use them creek rivers sloughs etc thanks for any tips an info guys

Default floats for beaver

I use them in flowing water, and in areas of fluctuating water levels. They are a pain to lug around, but are very effective.

I trap a huge marsh that I use float sets on. It doesn't have well defined banks for colony traps so it's the best method. I started out using this set up but now I use a foothold at either end of the float which is much better. I only need a minimum of 1' of water for a humane dispatch.

Thanks for the info guys yea I have one smaller river system that fluctuates a lot in spring I trap beavers on so was wondering if these might be a good idea an just have em ancored with cable to the shore

Another option worth considering for along the shore may be a lathe set.

That more for muskrat I’m assuming over beaver ?
