Jarrett,
You can catch sturgeon right at Sandy Point Bridge off Hwy 41 (left hand side). You can drive right to it, and camp as well. Just dont expect any monsters.
PM me if you need help with directions.
Mike

Good sturgeon holes and accessible by car don't go together very well around the Hat.
Sandy Point is one of the few, used to fish it alot but not lately.
I've been fishing the South Sask river for years and have walked a fair bit of shore and really you might catch an occasional sturgeon here and there but I have yet to find the magic hole,at least not on foot!!
If you feel like a walk and maybe getting wet you can try to get across to the east side of the river across from Police Point Park where there is a hole and i've heard of multiple sturgeon getting caught from but have not fished there personally.
On another note we have gone to one of the holes(it's well known by the jet boat crowd) twice in the last 2 weeks, caught 5 one day and 4 the other.
Biggest was over 5 feet long and around 40lbs,took me almost 20 minutes to get him in!
If you want to catch sturgeon regularly you are gonna have to get a boat......preferrably a jet-boat!!
