Default Athabasca River by Grassland

Thought I would check to see if anybody on here has ever fished for Walleye on the Athabasca river down by the ALPAC mill ( Poachers Landing ).
I have never tried it but I think I will give it a shot this week.
Any info would be great.

Thanks

I have fished under the Alpac bridge, its not that good. I think you would be better off going further to where the calling runs into the athabasca. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

Agreed very good fishing there late in the year . Was there later then this last year and we caught some nice Walleye. Once I get my new laptop ill remove the pictures off the other now fryed computer due to my sister's skills in spilling coffee on laptop ... I should have the new one this week . And ill remove the pictures from the hard drive of the other computer and will post pictures from the Athabasca river .

Default Athabasca river

Went out on Wed the 1st.
Launched at Poachers, wanted to make it to the Calling river. But the first few miles were pretty shallow. Slow going with a prop job, need a Jet boat.
Went as far as the La biche river, did a few drifts in front of there and caught a few small Walleye.
But that was it, shattered my dreams of the big 12 lber.
Didn't find any pools deeper than about 10-12 ft. Might try again later, see if I can make it as far as the Calling.

OH well it was a great day to be out
