Default Gull Lake Perch (Pics)

Took my boys down to the lake for the afternoon on Sunday.
The perch action was great.

Default Nice!!!

Roe, thanks for posting the report and pics. That is truly awesome. I'm glad your boys got to enjoy some great perch fishing.

Gull has been great for perch this year. First time I've ever been able to catch anything substantial in numbers. Last Friday afternoon I snuck out and managed my limit in pretty short order (see pic below). The biggest one is 12 inches and 1 lb on the nose. Pretty similar to your day. Interestingly enough, I also tried on the NorthWest side for the first time this year. I found about 10 feet of water. Pretty far out.

Ice is thick on Gull. I'm finding it a pretty solid 2 feet now pretty much everywhere.

Default safe

You'll be safe up there until the lakes close at the end of March. As for the trout lakes that never close, I'm not sure, but probably 1st to 2nd week in April (I'm from S. Alberta, so that might be off, but down here it's something like that).
