Shore Fishing at Pigeon - Not Good, Suggestions?
So a couple weeks back a friend and I tried fishing from the Prov Park dock and retaining wall area. We went in the mid afternoon and stayed 3 or 4 hours. We used everything: yellow jigs, spoons, pickerel rigs, baited with dew worms and minnows, and we didn't get a single bite!
Have other people recently had good luck fishing this area? If not, is there another decent (and easily accessible) place to shore fish at Pigeon?

I have fished that exact spot and have never been skunked. Its all about bright colored jig head tipped with a minnow under a slip bobber.

Yeah,
BBJ and Redneck Posse can agree with that... we were all out there on the 21st and they were catching pike and eyes from that spot on pigeon.

Yep I dont know if you didnt have your hook in the water because 3 weeks back I was catching them every cast , anvil , and redneck posse can atest to this . I dont know why you didnt catch anything Ither you werent deep enough or to deep . You want about 1 1/2 to 3 feet of line from your bobber . You gotta work it a bit. Also spoons work well . Anyway dont be scared get out there agian the evening bite has been deadly ..........

hey bud me and peanut(BBJ) are planing to go out in the afternoon and fish till after dark. maybe over the weekend, i'm not sure i have to get ahold of BBJ. your are invited to join us if you like.

Cool BBJ I got a few PMs from Redneck and he said you guys are coming out tomorrow Saturday around 3pm. I will be there for around lunch time noon or so armed with all my stuff and a few tubs of minnows. Hope to see you guys there should be a really good day with some cloud cover in the forecast.
