Default Crowsnest River Advice

Well it looks like i am heading down to the crowsnest pass for thanksgiving long weekend instead of elk hunting up north so i was wondering what the fishing is like this time of year and what you would recomend using.

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend you bring along a winchester defender shotgun so that you don't end up being the next dead guy in the news.

Thanks KU-LITE - i have fished, hunted and worked in bear country quite a bit. I am not to worried about becoming a headline.

Any advice on the fishing this time of year?

water has cooled down a fair bit. Watch for later day hatches of small caddis and midges. Make sure you bring a ample supply of the standard hare's ear, prince nymph's and such. The fish are still active just make sure you are in the feeding zone. I was out last weekend and did alright. Just to let you know they are calling for snow on friday down here. Good luck.
