Default Fly fishing report

So I managed to get out to one of my favorite creeks right after work. After a quick chat with a local who imformed me that three grizzlies broke down couple fences, I strung up and started to walk the banks. After scoping out couple proven spots, I went to this certain bend in the creek. This bend has exposed tree roots that go down to the bottom of that pool. Couple biteless drifts and wham I pulled out 4 whitefish, 6 browns and 1 brook trout. The browns and whitefish were in the 16-18 inch range. All were taken on a size 16 crystal meth. I was using a 7'6" 3wt rod matched with a Sage click 3 reel spooled with Rio gold.

I plan on hitting this creek till the last day of the season as I pushed some monster Browns, pushing the 4 lb range.

All in all good fun.

Thanks for the report. I drew a big goose egg down south on Sunday. Nada, nothing. Not even so much as a take. Oh well, this weekend. Thank goodness for some streams that are open year round.

Hey guys here's some meth that I tied up for a friend back in Ontario, yes for the "steelhead". I found out it's amazing for other types of trout aswell.

I just got back from what I think is my last visit to that creek till she opens next spring. So I'll upload the crystal meth pic now and some new fish p0rn later after i uplaod it to Icloud.

Size 8

Size 16

I just started fishing this creek last week for the first time. I recently moved to Rocky and all I can say is wow!

Here's a couple from tonight. Two bigger fish. Lost 3 about the same size and couple 15 inchers lost at the bank. 4 whities were also brought to hand.

I have also been tying up some scrambled eggs with ice yarn with the same success ass the meth.

I like to call that pattern Iced up Yoke.

Tie on about 6 furled loops of ice yarn. Very simple and quick to tie. Deadly on troot.
