hi i am wondering if Alberta fishery regulations,1998 are still enforced?

i found under section 37

37. The Alberta Fishery Regulations are repealed.
SOR/87-153

I also know of the Fisheries (Alberta) Act, are these the currently enforced regulations?

Often when they rewrite large potions of Acts it is just easier to make a new one, therefore the previous version (notices the date and code) has to be repealed.

Common procedure in our parliamentary system.

The latest fisheries Regulation is from 1997. This version is updated with amendments to June 17. 2011

ok thanks i was just confused as to why there is more than one set of regulations in regards to sport fishing but i guess not to many things the government comes up with make much sense

They make a new req every year to advise of any new changes from the previous year. So ya the 97' reg may be mostly the same the 2011 is the one I'd be reading closely since it is the year we're fishing in! If not it could be a costly fishing trip....If you catch and keep.
Get a set of regs and read them every year.
