Default BC Salmon fishing regulation question

I like eating salmon roe. Is there any regulation against me taking any of my buddies salmon roe if they don't want it? Otherwise it will all get thrown out.

It is legal but there is a limit to the amount of roe you can have in your possession if I remember correctly.

I used to hang out at the cleaning stations as a kid and ask people for there roe so I could make bait for trout and stealhead in the fall. I'd literly have 30-40lb in the basement layed out on newspaper covered in rock salt curing over night, it drove my parents nuts. I don't think there is a posseson limit it's usually just thrown out with the guts

Look in the regs under the definition of roe the possession limit is 1 kg of fresh roe unless you have the legally caught fish it came from in your possession as well. No limit on commercially processed roe.

You will find it in the freshwater fishing regs I just looked. With where the possession limit is written in the regs I can see this as an over look reg.

Thanks.

I am fishing in the salt water. So under the Federal regs I could not find a limit. Can anyone see it mentioned anywheres in the tidal waters regs?
