Sounds like she was a great dog, sorry for your loss

I hope you take comfort in the fact she's chasing the big red ball in the sky

So sorry to hear, been there done that a few times. Had my first Gsp drop dead at 6 yrs old, at my feet while i played with the other one. Had to go in and tell my pregnant wife(who was on her due date). Not fun, totally get how you feel as this was my first real dog that I got on my own. That was a lot of years ago. It will hurt like hell for a while but it does get better.

I thought replacing my gsp right away would somehow make the memory of the one who passed mean less but it was the opposite. We went to "look" at a gsp puppy 2 weeks after and when my wife held him, i knew we had another dog lol. That one was with us for 11 yrs. Go find your new best friend, he/she will fill a void and help with the pain. It's been over 2 years since my last Gsp died. The pull to get another is huge. All we have at this time is the wife's little rat chihuahua. Google rainbow bridge. My vet gives it out to all her customers who lose a pet. Take care

I good dog doesn't steel from you, lie to you, and is always there to put there head on your lab when life isn't good to you, a TRUE friend! I'm not a praying man, but I will say one for Abby!! My condolences!
