Default More bears than usual... anyone else noticing...?

I’m running into more bears down low in the valleys than usual. The Saskatoon aren’t even ready yet... and I’ve run into 5 blacks and one grizz down low.... 6 if you count last nights cub I treed on run... mama must have been around but I never hung round long enough to see her.

Anyone else noticing higher than usual bear numbers?

I dont know where you live, but in some areas bears have been pushed out by forest fires. Fringe areas around the Chuckegg Creek fire are crawling with them.

Neighbor called last Saturday morning. she just spotted a Black Bear on our road, heading into our quarter. Bear Smart reports two "brown" bears sighted east of Madden. No argument here.

Grizz

I’ve noticed a lot more bears around our place north of Westlock this year and I assume it’s from the forest fires. We even have a grizzly there for the past 2 years.
