South peace centennial museum. My cousin has a rumley tractor that runs the sawmill there. Might sell it.

Drive west from Sundre on the Coalcamp road. Keith Schneidmiller found the one that powered the Great West sawmill, over a hundred years ago, in the river and restored it.

You missed the time when there were a few around by 40 years.

I would check with Stan Reynold's museum south of Edmonton. They would probably have a few. They do sell some items every so often. Some of the people involved there would maybe know of some private owned units too.

He did a great job on it!! I don't think his recovery method from the river would pass inspection today...LOL.

Actually I am only after the Boiler / firebox vessel to produce steam.

I wonder if anyone can make it for personal use?

There has to be some old ones kicking around but I am a bit concerned about the integrity of the vessel regarding burst strength due to corrosion over the years.

Are there any welders that can put one together ( unemployed oil patch ) with the correct specs ?

Right now there is a Safety D!! having a seizure from all the code violations in that video!!!

I have heard about safety valve releases, and serious scald injuries, and now I can understand why.

I can only imagine the view OH & S would take to that rig running nowadays.

Talk to a pressure vessel shop, years ago I was delivering material to a machine shop in Lloydminster and they had a reduced size steam tractor. 1/4 size maybe?. They told me Universal industries did the pressure side and they built the rest. Maybe a call to the boilermakers hall would help.
