Default New Toy!!

Not much to say here other than i might have a slight addiction to custom rifles. Rob at Kaber Arms has built the last 2 rifles for me and did a great job. He might have out done himself on this one though.
The build list is as follows:

Stiller Predator LA
Mcmillan Gamescout
Benchmark #5 8 twist 5R
Jewel trigger
Hs bottom metal
Cerakote FDE w/ black flutes

28 Nosler
195 gr Berger
N570

I had it out to the range today for the first time and love the way it handles and even more how it shoots. Ill let the pictures speak for themselves.

These are two different powder charges that gave me the best results. I haven't had a chance to chronograph them yet but hopefully this week!

Nice build and it shoots very well also. Being very similar to the 7 RUM how do you find the recoil in such a light rifle with no brake on it?

Where is Kaber Arms Located?

It does have a break but I'm gonna shoot it without and see how it is. I would guess that with scope and rings it's 9.5 -10 lbs

It could be a butt ugly rifle, but if it shoots like that it's a keeper. When the stars line up and you get such a nice looking rifle that shoots like that, well hopefully your grand kids will enjoy it too! Really nicely done, love that black flutes with the FDE.

I have a very similar 28 Nosler build same action 28" Benchmark barrel,
Im getting 3100 FPS with the 195 EOL,s Using Retumbo, C.O.A.L 3.600 very accurate as well I was loading a bit hotter but hard on brass.

Im interested in what his rifle is getting for speed as well with his loads.

Yuppers, she's one nice looking unit, I can see a stock similar to this in my future.

The grip idea would be easier on my wrist.

Awesome build.
