Not often the radar goes into the purple range, someone is getting nailed with rain. It's just north of me, but the wind kicked up pretty quick.

I'm near the U of A and not much going on here. Lots of wind and the lights flickered but it all appears to be north of us.

I'm thanking the north saskatchewan river valley. I think it is keeping the storm on the north side. Nothing but some wind on the south side so far.

Wind is insane. Just got a touch of hail, but I don't think we've even started yet. Haven't had power in my house for a good 30 mins now, too.

I was waiting for my bedroom window to blow inside my house, in the 19yrs I've lived in this house I've never thought my windows were going to blow in.... until tonight.

Seems it has passed now.

Purple on the radar just passed through Morinville. Windy and rain but no hail. Starting to subside now and thunder now coming from the east. It's passed.

Near the Coliseum. Big hail just ending. Pea-sized to grape-sized. Wind is gusty.

Deep west end got some rain and high winds. Still some lightning. Nothing too major. Thankfully.

Ha!

I was running around the back yard in my ginch grabbing stuff I figured would blow away, then after I came inside I told the wife she better go out and grab her bedding plants on the patio table before they blow away.

I'm just north of Castledowns. I went out to try and get some of the wife's planters out of the wind and got caught out when the hail started. It was like getting hit by paint balls. Bigger than pea size and some were about grape size. All the flowers look pounded into the dirt. The hail shot right through our patio furniture covers too. Looks like a war zone.

I thought I was about to die too....

But it was more from the look on the wife's face when I told her she should go out there and get her bedding plants.

That was nuts! We've got big branches all over the lawns and streets and lights out everywhere near Westmount.

Hopefully I can paint this picture properly:
I have a row of columnar aspens 7' away from the eaves of my house and they are about 25' tall. My house is to the east and is only about 15' high. The trees beat themselves against the eaves AND the shingles for 20 minutes straight. (I went out and looked)
I weaved braided line between the trees about half way up after the last stupid wind to try and keep the branches up. I'm sure that saved them from snapping in half tonight. They were literally bent at a 90°.
Probably the worst gusts I've ever seen.

Here's the video. Dog is smarter than me obviously. To all those that are about to tell me the dog shouldn't have been outside, I say Have Your Pets Spayed Or Neutered or FO. PS:Language Unfit for those under 3
