Default River Closures Stopped!

It looks like our voice has been heard and the upcoming ban on Rivers has been stopped. I for one I'm so glad to hear this and I do need to give credit to the NDP Minister for listening. Never thought I'd quite say that but hey, give credit where credit is due.

Looks like Shannon stepped in, good on her. And to the activists that stepped up good on you guys, and thanks.

Yup thanks to everyone that stepped up and made their voices heard.

Unfortunately this was only winning half the battle though.

Sure we were able to convince the politicians to put the biologists in line but we need to get the biologists on the same page so that we can avoid issues like these in the future.

Still huge changes for pike/walleye coming next month. Hopefully we can start making some ground on those issues in the coming years.
