Default Fawn killer at work

I've had lots of coyote and mule deer on this camera but never two at the same time

Hopefully we can eliminate a bunch of those potlickers this winter. I’m going to start in on them around the third week of October.

I would start earlier too but the deer hunters seem to have sticky fingers...and others tend to like to shoot coyotes caught in snares whether they are dead or alive .

Before I was a predator hunter. I was watching a mother coyote and pups 100 yards from my house, to the south. I then noticed 3 deer running towards the coyotes. Then I also noticed that another coyote was herding the deer to the mother and pups. Unfortunately I didn’t realize what I was seeing at the time and quickly grabbed a shotgun and fired a round into the air. The coyotes all took off into the bush and the deer just stopped dead in there tracks and didn’t move. Really wish I had got a video of that.

Turned a couple colts loose at the barn almost at dusk few summers back, 2 WT fawns bust out of the neighbor's canola field, big coyote in hot pursuit takes the slower one down at a full run. Rolled that fawn over the creek bank making Randy Anderson 'fawn in distress' sound like it was right beside me. Quite the experience.
