Thanks for the update Nimrod! Sounds like it was a blast regardless of the slow fishing. If you have a cancellation in August let me know, I'll load up in half hour hahaha

Did you guys fly in on Tuesday? I saw a float plane over Jasper that day headed toward Fortress. I was a little jealous.

Hello Big Bull, we flew over the mountains in a strait line from Lac St. Ann, on Wednesday, but when we returned, we were planning our flight plan to go over Jasper, but when we made the turn to head to Jasper, lots a lighting, so we turned around to headed south, just under the clouds, but the clouds lifted so we could see the tops, , very great pilot on my thoughts, made it home in 50 min from Fortress lake.

Hey Jreed, Ill let my buddy know if there is room, but we had a bit of an issue leaving Fortress lake as it was kind of flat water, we needed rougher water so the floats get air between the water, so thats why we had a issue getting off the lake with just 2 of us in the plane,

Ya is definitely a tricky lake to get off of when it's hot sunny and calm, when I guided up there we used to have to run boats ahead of the float plane in order to create enough wake to get lift. Some days you were very limited in how much you could fly out because of this.

Having a boat making waves was exactly what my buddy said after we were off the lake.

Default Fortress Lake Wilderness Retreat(new Owners)

Hi
I am one of the new Owners of Fortress. I see a lot of discussion regarding private planes. We welcome all Private Planes and have special rates for short stays at the Resort. The hiking in we do not get involved in. That said we of course welcome all hikers wanting to stay at the Resort. Call us on our website or give us an email. You will find we are very different from the last Owner.
thanks.
Craig
