Default ABP pushes for Lease Land Turnover

Looks like Alberta Beef Producers wants to see all lease land in the province sold to reduce the provinicial deficit. Ranchers would receive first option on all public lands they currently control and would be allowed to purchase at 65% of fair market value. Say bye bye to all your hunting rights.

As a land owner I'm excited for this, can't wait to have my whole place deeded.

I wanted to post the link but for some reason I can't seem to get it to connect to the AO Forum. It's listed on ABP's web page if you want to check it out.

Thanks for the update.. the way I heard it that the longer you have held the grazing lease the lower the buy out percentage . Starts at 10 years 65 percent and 20 years 60 percent etc... some of these old boys who have had leases for years will get them FREE.. into a deeded .
