Default Calling all 2 handers

Looking for some info guys. I had purchased some time ago a 14' 8/9 wt TFO Lefty Kreh Signature Series spey rod and I am looking for some info on line and reel combos. It looks like I will be buying a reel from Cabelas due to some Christmas gift cards and would like some opinions on the Ross CLR, TFO BVK wich I don't think is large enough for a 10 wt running line, or the Lamson Vanquish which seems to carry a $ tag the same as Islanders and Abels etc. is it worthy of that? I would most likely purchase the Rio Skagit Flight in a 550 - 600 grain. To give you guys an idea of my intentions with this setup, Terrace B.C. Skeena river and tributeries Spring Salmon setup. Big flies and heavy sinking tips. I already have a 7wt switch setup for mid and late summer Steelhead and smaller salmon species with a skagit line systeme. The skagit I am stuck on, quite like it. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

P.S. I don't do any bluewater fishing as of yet but would like to know if I did a small amount on vacations is a salt ready reel really that important?

on the skeena, swinging for chinooks. you don't want a cheap reel. does cabelas carry galvin reels? The galvins are medium priced, high quality reels. worth looking into.

i'm not familiar with the ones you've mentioned

fresh chinooks, close to the ocean, in a river, are my favourite freshwater fish.

Galvan is what I have on my switch rod and I like it very much. Salt water sealed to boot. The ones I have listed is whats available through Cabelas, that why I'm looking for info on them.

Reels not quite big enough, but I'm in, I'll by a brand new rod if I had that beauty. Aylmer Lake Lodge looks like some awesome Laker fishing in some beautiful country. Thanks for the tip.

I won the exact same rod in an auction.

I bought a redington delta reel for it. It has some amazing stopping power. Used it in some salt and it worked great. Think it cost about $280. Balances the rod nicely, went with 200 yards of gel spun to save some room on reel.

Purchased the reel with steelhead in mind, but haven't got the hand yet.

Matched the rod according to Chris seipios (the designer) specs. 550 grain SA skagit.

Cast very nice with ths set up.
