I would hope they'll issue a statement on it one of these days, be interesting to see what is going on with it. May not be Hodgdon's choice, they don't own any powder plants, they are at the mercy of what is being made when the plants choose to make it. Most, if not all Hodgdon powders are banned in the EU due to cancer causing chems being used in them. Could be a new Cdn chem reg that is screwing things up too, after all, the Quebec plant is subject to them.Or a military order that is taking up production space, but, I believe the bulk of the cannon powder is made at Radford in the US. There was a blurb around a few mos back about Lake City needing to take up 25% of the commercial market ammo that they make, away for gov't production, who knows what that was all about.
Accurate and Alliant both buy a lot of European powders, I can see where they may have issues with getting production slots over there, and a considerable number of Hodgdon powders come from Aus too, and they have had issues with the shipment of powder due to some new int'l shipping regs which had been screwing that up, but, think they found a workaround on that.
