Default Favorite Powerbait Trout Dough

So last weekend I was working the grand opening of the new Cabelas location in Edmonton. One product that a lot of people were looking for was Powerbait Trout Dough. The odd thing was that every customer wanted a different color. I was kind of shocked how there was no one color that was wanted more than the next. Everyone seemed to have their own favorite. What’s yours?

I actually just ordered 6 new colors that I dont have and am going to try them out in my trout pond to see if one actually works better than the other.

Orange is the only color I have actually used in the past.

i remember using chartreuss and pink while growing up on vancouver island when i was younger, caught so many fish on orange, pink and chartruess of course, then captain america came out i believe it was 98, i remember catching a 21 inch on the power bait back in 99 at langford lake off the second island, we were around 18 years old back then, memorys for ever and beyond, the fishery on van island is so good(and still is) back then that we would fry a couple up daily or every couple days on the island with a little fire, nothing beats a fresh caught fish caught from a small lake on power bait, then frying a couple fish up freshly prepared, best time of my life, and some great guides around will still let you catch and keep a fish where primitted and fry it up on the spot, if you spin cast and like trout and in alberta go to sauer or chiccakoo lake and power bait fish, give it a try, cheers

Have had way more success with orange. Pink a close second, chartreuse was hit and miss. Honestly the only three I have ever tried.

Chartreuse works best for me. And orange. But I haven't bought the stuff in quite a few years.

Just a refresh for the poll.
I am kind of suprised how many more votes Orange has over the others. I guess I have been using the right color all these years.

Never heard of it or even used it until I moved to Alberta.

yellow. they don't even make the small trout niblets in yellow anymore, just the bigger nuggets that need to be split apart into smaller pieces. used to be a good go to for the kids hooks at the pond, just messy and comes off your fingers and into your lunch. worm juice and dirt on your noon time eats tastes a little more organic.

I probably have 3-4 different colors of the dough, as well as a couple different colors/flavors of marshmallows, and I haven't caught squat on any of them!

I suck @ open water trout

Nope no yellow like that. According to my product list the only 2 colors of nibbles they make are FL Orange and Chartreuse.
