I understand some of the blood coming from the mouth,

But hey maybe next time grab all of his gills along with the gill plate!

Make sure you kill him instead of wounding his lungs (gills)

Fantastic bullies chubb.

Keyboard warriors can go suck a slimy ole...pike.

This forum has gone right to sh!ts. When a guy can't even post a pic without the treehugging, know it all, keyboard warriors jumping all over him.......its a pretty sad world.

Again, nice fish! Congratz, wish I could find some nice ones like those!

WFN is free right now, why dont you go pretend you can catch a fish.
hahahhahahahahah, how do you know what a Door Knob is? I suspect a bungy cord keeps the door closed on your house with wheels.

Well, I bet that fish is now died after that POOR handling skills!

I think he needs to be educated on how to hold a fish!
-----------------------------------------------------
As for you chub, I have caught lots of fish. But I have never EVER have held a fishes gills like that! I only hold the gill plate making sure I don't touch the gills.

I have respect for the fish. Obviously you on want attention on AO,
And you shall get it!

But as my grandpa would say "Can't Fix Stupid!"

First time I've ever seen anyone call you out by your old name, kind of makes you go hmmmm when you get so defensive so quickly.

Great looking trout, thanks for sharing.

For those who have nothing to add in a positive or constructive manner move on, for those looking for drama, safe to say it will be short lived, your call. Grow up people! Hate to see another post down the drain

Cool

so chub goes to a lake where he has a chance at a fish he knows he will have to release. to which im confident he did. then he posts pics of some fine fish. that i am confident most form members have unlightly bested. gets heck for holding fish for the photo prior to release. how exactly do you control where you hook a fish. I release 90%+ of all fish I catch. being as careful as possible most fish bleed to some extent. stupidest heck giving I have had the mispleasure to witness. round of ban stick bashing may be inorder. its big,its brown and no amount of key board bashing can save you.

Just hold the fish normal and you wouldn't get flack like this thread.

I bet now he will hold his fish properly next time.

Default Always a legitimate issue

Because its easy to get sidetracked into a debate about tone, context, and the words people use, I'll just sidestep that aspect of the debate.

The original concern is valid; if you are targeting a fish that is, by law, catch and release, it is perfectly legitimate to discuss how that fish is handled in a photograph. Knee-jerk reactions of "go somewhere else" aren't helpful.

I for one would skip the photos and get the fish back in the water asap if I saw blood. Particularly ice-fishing because of the added complication of potential skin freezing.

People should try to use pm as much as possible when they have constructive criticism: however, sometimes its instructive for the forum members to see examples of what is and isn't proper fish-handling techniques.

I'm not a fan of the pic myself, for the reasons I said above; but there's no need to get personal on the poster. I know I'd listen more to constructive criticism if I felt the person doing it was trying to be as tactful as possible.

I KNOW he KNOWS how to handle a fish. Before you cut a guy down maybe YOU should learn a little bit about his history and what HE KNOWS about fish handling.

I can guarantee that Chubb isn't going to change the way he holds fish because of something you say on a forum.
