Never saw any whites at brownlows, neither did a few guys near me. The pike were aggressive and also got one nice walleye. Overall a good day just nothing to bring back home!
Didn't get out until early afternoon, watched the sun set, was the last one off the ice. Found my spot from last year, weed line with sand patches in 5-6 fow.
Was north of Brownlows when I heard a crack and then my shack started to shake, it felt like 2 inches up and down, like a earth quake hit just under me, you could hear the ice cracking down the lake towards the road, then the water came up through the crack ... that was an interesting experience.
A few pic's ...

Spot-on-Spot
Only seen a few Whites no success on W/W’s, but Vibro produced today …. continuous action until sunset.
Seen a monster White just after sunset must of been 6-8 Lbs it looked at Vibro and turned at last moment ... have to go back now.
I spent the day out at Brownlows on Wednesday. Everyone was driving on the lake but I stayed on the safe side and walked out. The ice is clear and around a foot thick. Having never fished here I really didn't know where to go but I had great luck with the pike, I caught 10 fish in about 4 hours. I had a hard time finding a spot without weeds and I ended up about 200 yards deeper than most of the shacks and other guys fishing. Is it normal to go out this deep or do most people fish shallow and in the weeds?
