Default DIY Drop Shot Rig

So after being frustrated that the only drop shot rigs I could find around town had 1/0 and 2/0 hook sizes (I want small ones for some whitefish) I decided that if I wanted smaller ones I would just have to make my own. Luckily I have been going wire worm crazy the last few days so I had a plethora of wire and beads at hand to choose from.

I had a fresh bag of red size 8 Gamakatsu octopus hooks kickin around and used some 24 gauge wire with various beads. I found that the easiest way was to use my whip finisher tool for flys to bend the wire around and some side cutters to clip in close. It was a lot easier than i thought it would be and they turned out WAY better than I expected! As soon as the wind slows down so I don't get blown across the lake I will definitely be giving them a go.

Anyone else out there make stuff like this?

I have but instead of using swivels I have just used a bobber stop it works good plus its super adjustable on the go and its also a lot more finesse like, less likely to spook picky whites.
