Rained like Hell here, N. Sask is up 3 meters, betting it's no different west of Sundre. Be Careful.

Good luck on the hunt to all of you hearty mountaineer type guys.

When you're sitting on a mountain view think of old Jack Brewster's hunt back around 1912 and his trophy for inspiration.

The Wilmore books I found real good. Some awesome info in them and history
http://willmorewilderness.com/product-category/book/

Not sure how many books there are now but they are worth having on the coffee table especially if you have spent time in there. It is a magical place!

Try some of these
Pioneer Guide (Ray Mustard)
Dewey Browning Vol. 1-2
The Life and Times of Nayda Hallet
Parts 1-4
Chester Sands 44yrs an Outfitter parts 1-2
People and Peaks Basil Leonard
These are all good reads
And yes some of them were going into the parks. That should still be happening today to move the rams out. Valerius Geist even mentioned moving rams around in some of his work.

If anyone knows of more please let us know I will be buying them. Some of these guys are living legends for sure

The Life and Times of Nayda Hallet

Someone once said of Nayda, even the Grizzlies stepped aside when she came down the trail. Anybody who ever saw her in person won't argue that.

Good way to start. I'm jealous of the guys on the rocks. I got a buddy out right now with my horses, it's killing me not being out there. Lucky bugger.

Pretty crazy harvest for the opener, i know of half a dozen down, a few nice ones. The provincial unemployment rate shows in the hills though.

Same old crap just like last years thread. Lots of "stories" from the wannabe sheep hunters but no pics or proof.

So the only difference between a "wannabe" sheep hunter and a real one is the real one posts pics?
