Default My 2 day fishing trip up north!

I went up to Skeleton/North Buck lake area for a couple of days last week and fished at Skeleton mostly. Caught some nice perch finally! Met up with a couple of old 80+ guys that were more than willing to help a damsel in distress! Took me to all the good perch holes!!! I caught 3 the first day and 5 the second, and lost lots in the process! The starter went on my sled so I couldn't go exploring to far but had lots of fun anyway! The ice was 12" thick but got really watery at about 50ft out.

Very nice, glad you caught a meal or 2 of Perchies. I like that area for them Perch. Too bad Missiwawii hasn't come back. Used to get gooders from there.

Thanks Kim! Yes we fished lots in North Buck for years and used to catch nice perch but the water has gone down dramatically and between the lake getting winter killed and the local natives netting the lake it's pretty much empty!
